A very common bright green filamentous alga especially in stagnant or slowly running water. Plant coenocytic of even thickness throughout( 50-200) irregularly branched and with no cross walls numerous small green chloroplasts 63a and of a filament 63.b antheridium (male cell) and two ooginia (female cells).
