Filamentous and unbranched 5-20 micron diameter with several parietal chloroplasts and H- pieces resembling Microspora (39) but differing in the longer and narrower cells and much paler and more transparent appearance. Having no starch. Commen especially in grassy pools. 61 a part of a filament 61b H- piece ( fit together to form the walls)
