Put here because of the macroscopic plant bodies it forms (47b slightly enlarged) but these are of mucilage containing cells of Chlamydomonas type having pseudocilia (like motionless flagella) projecting from the mucilage (47a) Palmodictyon is similar but forms reticulate jelly- masses.
