Ochromonas


Motile unicell usually oval 2-25 micron long with 1 or 2 brown chloroplasts and long and a short flagellum. Chromulina is similar but only has 1 flagellum visible. Like many of their class they do not live long in microscope slide. Fairly common especially in spring in puddles ponds lakes etc.
