Nitzschia

Common, many species, 5 to more than 100um long. Best distinguished in live from Navicula and iits allies by the two chloroplasts at the ends of the cell, not the side. There is also a big sigmoid species, up to 600um long.but unlike Gyrosigma (80) it has parallel sides and blunt ends. 83a, cleaned frustule, 83b, living cell, borh of a small species.

Tribonema

Tribonema Filamentous and unbranched 5-20 micron diameter with several parietal chloroplasts and H- pieces resembling Microspora (39) but differing in the longer and narrower cells and much paler and more transparent appearance. Having no starch. Commen especially in grassy pools. 61 a part of a filament 61b H- piece ( fit together to form the walls) RlPPLE WALLET : rE9VzDvqozvgbd2trCKitN4fSi6ENiHu41
