A coenocytic ( multinuclate ) alga forming dark green globules up to 2 mm across on drying mud anchored by a colourless branched rhizoid. Not uncommon but only lasts in this form for a few days perennation being by cysts. 62a a whole plant dug up x10 62b groups of plants on mud seen from above x2,5.
